We are a licensed Foster Family Agency; State incorporated Non-profit organization and an IRS non-profit 501c3. TOT serves American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) male and female ages 0-17 and non- minor dependents up to age 18 to complete high school or GED program. TOT is designed to provide AI/AN youth a safe and culturally relevant home that will nurture their growth as individuals and Tribal/community members. TOT will actively recruit, train and certify qualified AI/AN families as resource parents to assist counties to comply with the federal law (ICWA). TOT intends to recruit families by meeting with local Tribes, collaborating with AI/AN service providers in the surrounding service areas in addition to active and ongoing engagement with cultural activities and ceremonies. Support and input will be sought from area Tribes and AI/AN service providers and organizations.
AI/AN Resource Families will be approved to foster, provide kinship, guardianship and/or adoption of AI/AN foster children. Background clearance and trainings are mandatory along with CPR/First Aid and water safety if there is pool access.

We serve American Indian and Alaska Native foster youth, ages 0-17 and any sibling set. We seek to ensure that cultural identities are preserved and valued, by offering a safe and secure home as a resource to promote adequate developmental growth that fosters cultural preservation. Tribal Oak Tree (TOT)Foster Family Agency Resource Families provide loving, nurturing homes with an emphasis on American Indian/ Alaska Native (AI/AN) culture, traditions, and customs for AI/AN youth who are in foster care. TOT has two office locations that provide services to San Diego, Sacramento, and the Surrounding counties.
